The Kaduna State Police Command has rescued at least 23 kidnapped victims during a joint security operation in Kajuru Local Government Area of the State.
This was disclosed in a statement by Mansur Hassan the command spokesperson.
He explained that, operatives, acting on intelligence stormed a bandit hideout near Doka Village, engaging in a fierce gun battle that forced the criminals to flee with injuries.
The victims, abducted from Kauru LGA, have been reunited with their families he added.
Authorities have increased surveillance and patrols, with CP Rabiu Muhammad reaffirming efforts to combat crime in collaboration with security agencies.
