Kano state Police Command has confirmed that it has detonated an Improvised Explosive Device IED it discovered at Aujirawa Village in Gezawa Local Government Area of the state.
Kano Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Kiyawa confirmed the incident in a press statement issued to TVC News in the state.
The Police Spokesman noted that the explosive Device was detonated by a team of the Explosive Ordinance Unit operatives.
Abdullahi Kiyawa added that a discreet investigation has been launched into the matter calling on residents to remain calm and report any suspicious movement or person to the nearest Police station.
