Police Confirm Abduction Of Traditional Ruler In Taraba

A second class monarch Umaru Abubakar Nyala, alongside his son and  orderly have been abducted in Pupule, Yorro Local Government of Taraba State.

The Taraba state police command has confirmed the incident, they reported  that  heavily armed gun men suspected to be kidnappers invaded the village at about 2am shooting sporadically and abducted the monarch and two others.

The Command PPRO SP Abdullahi Usman told TVC News that more than 17 people  including pregnant women were also abducted.

He says a detachment of security operatives have been deployed to the area to  secure the release of the victims.

This incident is the third kidnapping for ransom of people in Pupule in less than six months.
