The Anambra State Police Command has arrested 200 suspects in the past two months, who were paraded for various crimes bordering on kidnapping, Armed Robbery. drug trafficking, cultism and other social vices
The state Commissioner of Police, CP NNage Obono Itam made this disclosure during his maiden press briefing at the Police Command Headquarters in Amawbia.
CP Itam provided updates on the Command’s law and order activities and achievements in the fight against crime in the state.
The Commissioner revealed that the arrests were made possible through the efforts of the Command’s tactical teams, who he said have been working tirelessly to combat crime to ensure peace and security in the state.
Items recovered from the suspects were weapons and vehicles , including 20 AK-47 rifles, 50 pump-action guns, and 10 vehicles.
He assured the public that the Police would continue to work hard to ensure that Anambra remains a safe and secure place for all.
