Former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi has condoled the family and Government over the death of Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
Mr Obi who shared this on his X page formerly known as Twitter, said he received with sadness and shock of the report of death of someone he described as exceptional Patriot.
The former Labour Party Presidential candidate in the last general election described Dr. Ezeife as a detribalized Nigerian who remained dedicated to the cause of good governance and contributed immensely to deepening the democratic ideals of the country.
Obi described the first Civilian Governor of ANAMBRA State who served from 1992-1993 in the Third Republic under the military era, as a father figure whose Wisdom, advice and encouragement greatly impacted him Positively and would be missed by all.
He prayed God to grant him eternal rest and those who mourn the passing of the former Governor, the fortunate to bear the irreparable loss.
