A frontline politician in Ogun State, Otunba Rotimi Paseda has faulted the new admission cut off mark introduced by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), noting that 120 marks over 400 will not encourage academic excellence.
He made this known at Omu Ijebu, while speaking on what prompted him to sponsor more than a thousand students for summer camp programme.
He noted that the falling standard of Education in the country should be a source of concern to all adult citizens and they should find a way of contributing towards rebuilding the sector.
He urged government to maintain available infrastructure in schools and focus more on teachers’ welfare and development, noting that if teachers lack proper motivation their output would be affected.
