Members of the Senator Ahmed Markafi led faction of the PDP in Owo Local Government area of Ondo have expressed optimism that Eyitayo Jegede will be declared as the party’s flag bearer in the November 26
Governorship election in the state.
The party members at a meeting presided over by the state commissioner for culture , Femi Adekanmbi, described Jimoh Ibrahim as a spoiler.
Since the enforcement of the Justice Okon Abang’s order, there had been series of protests in the state and several meetings of various interest groups on the matter.

But Adekanmbi lamented that the current situation is capable of disrupting the peace that the state had been enjoying in the last seven years.
He expressed confidence that the appellate court would do the needful by ensuring that the wish of the people prevails.
Other PDP leaders in the area, maintained that Jegede remains the party’s flag bearer in the state.
