Over 5,000 teachers in Katsina endorse APC guber candidate Dikko Radda

More than 5 000 Secondary School teachers in Katina state have declared their support for the APC gubernatorial candidate Diko Umar Radda and the Asiwaju Shettima ticket.

In a rally spearheaded by the State Commissioner of Education, Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi, at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in the state capital, teachers were seen smiling and jubilating because to them, a savior is coming to salvage the education sector of the state.

According to the Education Commissioner, the attendees comprise 2,800 head teachers, 600 secondary school principals, 160 community secondary school teachers, and over 500 administrators drawn from the state ministry of education as well as officials from the SUBEB in the 17 Zonal Quality Assurance Offices.

He explained that the APC governorship candidate is not only a trained and well-groomed classroom teacher but also a versatile administrator who can strive harder in the area of education to move the sector forward.

Teachers in the past who are not known to active participation in
partisan politics but a turn of events has compelled the teachers to take a stand.

The rally organised by organized by some teachers unions for the purpose of announcing to the public that teachers will not remain in the background despite their population and position in society.

The rally was attended by the APC gubernatorial candidate Dikko who promised to bring effective Education reforms if elected.

Speakers expressed concern about the state and the need to elect leaders that truly understand what needs to be done to address factors affecting the education system in Nigeria.
