Osun:INEC solicits support of security agencies towards credible 2023 polls

The Independent National electoral commission in Osun state is soliciting support of the Nigerian Army, the police and the national orientation agency towards delivering free fair and credible elections next year.

Osun state resident electoral commissioner, Mutiu Agboke made the call while paying visits to the organisations.

Though though governorship election will not hold in Osun during next year’s elections. The new resident electoral commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke is not leaving any stone unturned towards ensuring the commission achieve success.

For the past few weeks Mutiu Agboke has held street rallies, visited churches, mosques and other public places to sensitise people on the needs to actively participate in the general elections.

The resident electoral commissioner visited the engineering construction command of the Nigerian Army in Ede to solicit their support ahead of the polls.

From there, he proceeded to the state command of the Nigerian police in Osogbo where he was assured of necessary support.

At the quarters of the national orientation agency in Osgbo, Mutiu Agboke tasked the agency on its responsibilities as the elections draw near.

Speaking further, Mr Agboke said NOA is very strategic, and the mandate of advocacy is that of the national orientation agency as they are the ones that know how to speak, present and know what to say.

“If INEC has any good idea, it is for us to engage and partner with them.

Mr Agboke believes that with effective collaboration, the elections will be a success.
