As the holy month of Ramadan commences, an Occupational Therapist,  Dr. Victoria Amu has extended her heartfelt greetings to all Muslim faithful in Edo State and beyond.

Dr Amu acknowledged the deep spiritual significance of Ramadan, a period marked by self-discipline, prayer, and acts of charity. In addition to its religious importance, Dr. Amu highlights the health benefits of fasting, emphasizing that when observed properly, it can promote physical and mental well-being.

Dr. Amu, an advocate for holistic health, urged Muslims to take care of their bodies while fulfilling their religious obligations. She advised them to stay hydrated, consume nutritious meals during Sahoor (pre-dawn meal) and Iftar (evening meal), and avoid excessive intake of unhealthy foods. She reminds the faithful that good health is essential for effective worship and encourages them to seek medical guidance if necessary, especially those with pre-existing health conditions.

Furthermore, Dr. Amu admonishes Muslims in Edo State to take full advantage of this sacred season to deepen their faith and strengthen their commitment to community service. She noted that Ramadan is not only a time for fasting but also an opportunity for self-reflection, kindness, and unity among people of all backgrounds. She urges them to extend love, support, and generosity to the less privileged, fostering a spirit of togetherness and compassion.

Dr. Victoria Amu prayed for a peaceful and fulfilling Ramadan for all Muslim faithful. She expressed her hope that this season brings abundant blessings, renewed strength, and divine favour to individuals, families, and the entire state. As they embarked on this sacred journey, she encouraged them to remain steadfast in their faith while prioritizing their health and well-being.
