The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has announced the deployment of over 1,500 officers and men across various parts of Enugu State to maintain law and order during and after the yuletide season.
The state commandant of NSCDC Mohammed Dada stated this at the decorations ceremony of 280 officers to their next ranks in Enugu command.
Dada said the deployment focuses on crucial areas prone to threats, including prayer grounds, worship centres, recreational facilities, motor parks, gardens, markets, shopping complexes, black spots, and critical installations.
According to the commandant, the initiative was aimed at establishing coordinated actionable intelligence, deterring and addressing potential threats to ensure a secure a hitch free Yuletide in Enugu state.
