Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS) have arrested 20 individuals linked to kidnapping, terrorism, vandalism, armed robbery, and other criminal activities across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, and Ondo States.
The operations, carried out between October and November 2025, were part of intensified intelligence-led directives issued by the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, aimed at dismantling high-profile criminal networks nationwide.
The CG’s SIS Commander, AS Dandaura (JP), revealed that the suspects face charges ranging from kidnapping, murder, vandalism of public infrastructure, and obtaining by false pretence to armed robbery.
Two of the detainees were identified as members of terrorist and militia groups linked to recent communal attacks, while five others were major receivers of stolen goods.
Recovered during the operations were two AK-47 rifles, two G3 rifles (from Ondo State), sixty-five rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE, four stolen motorcycles, mobile phones, electronics, charms, and cash.

Aku along the Lafia–Akwanga road and farmer Mr. Muhammadu Yaka in Nasarawa Eggon after collecting ransom payments. Hassan Ibrahim was also linked to militia attacks in Yelwata (Benue State) and Qua’an-Pan (Plateau State).

Three others — Bamaiyi Mustapha (aka Dan Borno), John Ishaya (aka Baushe), and James Bako (aka Muchake) — were arrested for highway robbery and attempted kidnappings targeting prominent individuals in Nasarawa State. Their gang was further connected to armed robberies along Lambata–Kogi–Kaduna and Akwanga–Niger highways, as well as cattle rustling.
In Ondo State, Iseoluwa Shadrach Omosehin (27) was detained with two G3 rifles (serial numbers 6911856 and 69047064). In Nasarawa, Nyitamen George (34) was arrested for illegally diverting electricity payments, while Muhammad Aliyu (aka Aliko, 23) faces charges of vandalism, assault, and grievous harm.
Additionally, five individuals were apprehended for receiving and reselling stolen property, including vehicles, motorcycles, phones, and electronics.
Commandant Dandaura reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to eradicating criminal elements, emphasising that the arrests underscore the Corps’ dedication to protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
He assured that all suspects would be prosecuted upon the completion of investigations and encouraged Nigerians to continue providing actionable intelligence to support the nation’s fight against crime.
