The management of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital said there is no case of the coronavirus within the state .
This follows rumors of a suspected case of coronavirus in Port Harcourt.
Although detail of what exactly triggered the rumors are still very sketchy, reports says medical personnel at the University teaching hospital encountered a patient with suspicious symptoms.
In a briefing by the hospital’s management, chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Princewill Stanley, strongly advised against circulating unverified information that can further heighten anxiety amongst Nigerians.
