The Nigeria Labour Congress is meeting with its State chairmen and Secretaries to assess the response of state governments to the consequential adjustment of salaries for the implementation of the N30,000 new minimum wage.
TVC News Correspondent, Joke Adisa, reports that the one-day meeting was well attended by the states.
It is a countdown to December the 31st deadline that the NLC has issued to state governments to commence the payment of thirty thousand naira or more as the new minimum wage in line with the recent amendment to the constitution.
The leadership of the Congress is meeting with officials at state level to get updates on the states that have begun payment and those yet to.
More importantly, the meeting is to review operations of committees at the states
