Professionals, under the umbrella of the alumni association of the national institute of Policy and strategic studies, have identified issues that must be addressed in the run up to the 2023 general election.

These include poor planning, lack of accountability, failure to establish robust frame works that will drive critical sectors.

For the Alumni Association of the National Institute for Policy and strategic studies, there’s the need to address the challenges of governance in the country, prior to the elections.

The syndicate of professionals at a forum in Abuja identifies factors responsible for development deficits.

Poor planning, lack of accountability, failure to establish robust frame works that will drive critical sectors, are some of the. drawbacks.

Even more worrisome is nepotism which Martin Luther Agwai, a retired Lieutenant General and former Chief of Army Staff, says is eroding merit in governance.

But there’s a quest for national cohesion which the dialogue seeks to achieve.

The forum understands that little can be achieved before the elections.
