Three months after Nigeria and Morocco signed an agreement for the extension of the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline, Nigeria’s parliament has affirmed its readiness to ensure its realisation.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki made the commitment to the Moroccan Parliament in Rabat, following a four-day parliamentary visit to the north African country.
The four thousand kilometer pipeline is set to deliver gas from Nigeria to Europe via Niger Republic, Algeria and Morocco.
Both parliaments agreed to set up working groups to monitor inter-governmental commitment and implementation.
