Image result for #Nigeria@57: Osinbajo assures Nigerians of better futureVice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed confidence that despite its present challenges, Nigeria will prosper and its citizens will all benefit from its unity in diversity.

He made this declaration at the 2017 Independence day Interdenominational Church Service which held at the National Christian Centre Abuja.

State House Correspondent Mariah Olasehinde  reports that it was an evening of prayers and thanksgiving for the nation Nigeria, its former leaders –  General Yakubu Gowon, President Olusegun Obasanjo  and Chief Ernest Shonekan  were present to celebrate with Vice president Yemi Osinbajo and his wife Dolapo Osinbajo at the 57th Independence Anniversary service. Former President Goodluck Jonathan was conspicuously absent.

The Theme of the Service was “National Unity In The Bond Of Peace And Love”.

The praise and worship session was a display of Nigeria’s rich culture and different languages. The guest preacher Rev. Aminu Turaki charged Nigerians to be willing to Forgive and avoid violence.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in his remarks admonished Nigerians to avoid ethnicity and all issues that bring division to the polity, stressing that God would hold hold citizens responsible for the fate of the nations to which they belong.

The Vice President called on Nigerians to pray for the nation and work towards its progress and development.
