Nigeria to benefit $20bn from foreign investments

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo said Nigeria is set to benefit more than twenty billion dollars from Direct Foreign Investments.

Osinbajo, who was represented by the Minister for State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, made the declaration at the third annual workshop for Judges on Petroleum, Gas and power in Abuja.

The Acting President, who is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, called for  speedy trials,describing the slow pace of Judicial decisions,  as a nightmare?

Following recent developments in the Power and Petroleum Sectors, Judges have also been tasked to be proactive in handling the resolution of lingering disputes that bedevil the sector.

Most of the Speakers, agreed that the Power as well as the oil and gas sectors form the Economic base of the country and Judges must watch their pronouncements on issues in these crucial sectors.

Others believe Judges need to update their capacity in handling strong cases of dispute, as it relates to the Power and Oil Sector.

This workshop, is said to be very necessary as it would help to sharpen the visions of the judges on how to handle cases bothering on Oil and power, when they return to their various courts.
