Southern Kaduna is on the edge again, as 12 people have been reported dead and 13 others injured after suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked the Asso Community in Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

The latest attack is coming few months after relative peace had gradually been returning to all troubled communities in the southern part of the state.

The attackers are said to have stormed the village and opened fire on innocent residents who were preparing for the Easter celebration.

Meanwhile, the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has condemned the attack, describing it as inhuman and callous and urged security agencies to double their efforts in fishing out those behind the killings.
