The Brazil international made his first appearance since the Seleção’s exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup and wasted little time reminding fans of his quality with a match-winning display, although Santos had to settle for a point.

The 34-year-old was the standout performer throughout the encounter, constantly threatening the Chapecoense defence with his movement and creativity. He fired nine shots, five of them on target, with two finding the back of the net.

Neymar was also heavily involved in Santos’ build-up play, registering 103 touches and completing 48 of his 62 passes, including 45 in the opposition half. He created two chances, won seven duels and was fouled four times during an influential all-round performance.
