NEMA has received fresh batch of 116 Nigerian Nationals who volunteered to be repatriated back to Nigeria from Libya.
The Nigerians were received on arrival by the Acting Coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye on behalf of the Director General of the Agency, Engr Mustapha Maihajja at the Cargo Wing of MMIA, Ikeja.
The Assisted Voluntary Returnees were brought courtesy of IOM and EU. They arrived the airport aboard Al Buraq air with flight number UZ 188/26 a d Registration number 5A-DMG-MJI touched down at 2224 hours.
After profiling, the Returnees analysis indicated they include 48 female adults, 53 adult males aaand 15 children.
One of the returnee, Mrs Sola Adeleke 38 years old from Oyo appealed to Government to deal decisively with traffickers who misled Nigerians with fake information on greener pastures that doesn’t exist outside the country.
She said the traffickers subjects other people to inhuman treatment that they will never like to expose their children to pass through.
