The Nigerian Navy has inaugurated the Ikenne Security Coordination Centre (ISCC) in Ikenne Remo, Ogun State, as part of efforts to strengthen community-based security and improve real-time surveillance.
The project, a Special Intervention Quick Impact Project (QIP), was commissioned on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The facility is equipped with high-resolution, solar-powered cameras and a 10KVA inverter, ensuring round-the-clock monitoring. The commissioning ceremony was led by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, represented by Rear Admiral Mike Oamen (rtd).

Rear Admiral Abolaji Orederu (rtd), who facilitated the project, explained that the ISCC is aimed at enhancing local surveillance, fostering civil-military collaboration, and empowering trained youths to play active roles in ensuring community safety.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Senators Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun, AIG Subair (rtd), and prominent sons and daughters of Ikenne.
The ISCC reflects the Navy’s ongoing commitment to grassroots security, youth empowerment, and community engagement, in line with its nationwide Quick Impact Projects initiative.
