The U.S., Canada and Mexico have said progress has been made but more still needs to be done to conclude negotiations on the North American Free Trade Agreement.
After a five-day meeting in Ontario, the three countries say talks to modernize the 23-year-old deal could be over by the end of the year.
Trade experts have dismissed the deadline as impossible with Canadian and Mexican officials criticising the U.S for not presenting some of the most contentious issues.
