The executive governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has presented the staff of office to the former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan land.
TVC had earlier reported that the Afobaje of Ibadanland, Chief Waheed Popoola, has placed the sacred Akoko leaves on the head of the newly installed king, a traditional rite performed during the process of the installation of a king in Ibadanland.
TVC previously reported that the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has been crowned the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan.
After the earlier report of the Afobaje of Ibadanland, Chief Waheed Popoola has placed the sacred Akoko leaves on the head of former. Governor, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, shared on his official X handle an image showing the new King wearing the sacred crown as the Olubadan of Ibadan.
