The crisis rocking the Labour Party has taken a new dimension with the convening of a special convention by one of the factions to allegedly remove the party’s national chairman, Abdulqadir Abdulsalam.
Members of the faction also elected a former rotary club governor, Tayo Omotosho as the new Chairman of the Party.

Highlighting the many sins of the ousted party chairman, this faction says he is guilty of embezzling party finances as well as forgery.
They also lamented that Salam, never held party meetings to agree on the way forward but chose to administer the party through executive fiat, a situation which made other NWC members uncomfortable.
