Kidnapping: Yari gives security one week to arrest suspects

Image result for Nigerian PoliceZamfara state Governor, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has given the security apparatus in the state up to next week to arrest the criminals kidnapping people across the state. 

The governor stated this when he paid a condolence visit to Gora Village of Maradun Local Government over the recent killing of many residents and abduction of others.

TVC News Correspondent Ibrahim Bello reports that over ten people were feared dead and many were kidnapped including the son of a member  representing Maradun -Bakura federal constituency in Gora community of Maradun Local Government.

Governor  Abdulaziz Yari and his entourage visited  Gora village to commiserate with the people  over the incident and charged  security agencies to bring to book the perpetrators of such acts.

The Governor also solicited for  useful information for the security agencies from the general public, that could lead to the arrest of criminals in the state.

On his part ,the Zamfara  State Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson said all hands are on deck to curtail the incidents of kidnapping and other forms of criminality in the state.

He said  a combined team of armed mobile police  men, surveillance teams and other investigators from sister agencies had already been deployed to the affected areas.

Meanwhile residents of the state hope that  security agencies would be alive to their responsibilities in order to curtail many  incidents of armed banditry, cattle rustling and kidnapping to the barest minimum.
