At a meeting in Ikare-Akoko, the monarchs, who are not first class traditional rulers, said abduction of their colleagues is a taboo.

TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that the monarch of Iyani-Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of
Ondo state, Oba Joel Daudu was abducted last Sunday, on the Owo-Ikare Expressway.

Though Oba Daodu regained his freedom three days after, his abduction was condemned by relevant stakeholders in the state.

At this meeting in Ikare-Akoko, these traditional rulers deliberated on the matter and related issues.

The monarchs, under the aegis of De-130 Krowns Club, condemned the abduction of one their colleagues, Oba Daodu, which they described as an abomination.

The traditional rulers want government to take proactive measures against high rate of kidnapping in the country.

The traditional rulers also called on government to provide adequate security at their palaces and give maximum attention to their welfare.

The monarchs also stressed the need for the Nigerian government to venture into mechanised farming, as a way out of the country’s economic woes.
