Kano, Kogi govs join Buhari for prayers

Image result for Kano, Kogi govs join Buhari for prayersThe Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; and his Kano State counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje and other top government officials on Friday joined President Muhammadu Buhari for Jumat prayers inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The two-rakat prayers were said inside a mosque located near the President’s office.

Speaking with State House correspondents after the prayers, Bello said he was happy to see that the President was getting stronger by the day.

He said, “We can only thank Almighty Allah for this wonderful job that he (Buhari) has done for this country, I urge all Nigerians to continue to pray and give him all the necessary support. Nigeria is going to be better,” he said.

The governor also commended the President for nominating Prof. Stephen Ochani from the state for ministerial appointment.

He said as a renowned professor, he was confident that the nominee would make the President proud.

Ganduje, in a separate interview, commended Buhari for bringing peace and stability to the country.

He said, “We are grateful to Mr. President for bringing peace and stability to Nigeria, especially for fighting the insurgency in the North-East, which is the main economic hindrance, especially in the region.”
