The Kaduna State Government has debunked online messages intended to raise alarm over an alleged attack and blockage of the Kaduna-Abuja Road by suspected terrorists.
Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, in a statement on Thursday described the reports as false, mischievous and advised that it be disregarded by citizens and road users.
According to the commissioner, the Kaduna government has been following the security situation along the Kaduna-Abuja Road and is constantly in touch with security operatives in the area.
He further explained that the Government is not living in denial of security challenges confronting the state but he described as unfortunate, the manner in which individuals and groups continue to undermine the sacrifices of security agencies and the government.
