A group of unidentified arsonists attempted to attack the military checkpoint at Afor-Uzo junction Isuofia in the Agauta local government area of Anambra state, but were defeated by the state’s security forces, comprising of the military, police, and other security agencies.
The military neutralised four gang members, according to a statement released by the state commissioner of Information and Strategy, Paul Nwosu.
There was exchange of gunfire between the hoodlums and the military, which resulted in the killing of the arsonists gang and the recovery of their Toyota Avenza with registration number KRD 344 BT, with which they launched the murderous operation.
