The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has said private security sector cannot be left to function the way it is doing presently without close superbvision by the government.
He stressed this point at the 3rd private security industry summit with the theme redefining security: the evolving role of private security in a changing world.
Addressing those present, the minister said the the Private Guard Companies Act enacted in 1986 to regulate the licensing of Private Guard Companies does not repesent the present realities in the country.
