The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, is representing Nigeria at the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China.
The three-day conference, which runs from the 16th to the 18th of September, brings together Ministers of Security, Police Chiefs, and experts from across the world to deliberate on strategies against transnational crime.
Ahead of the Forum, IGP Egbetokun held a bilateral meeting with China’s Deputy Minister of Public Security, Qi Yanjun. Discussions at the meeting focused on security cooperation, intelligence sharing, capacity building, and strengthening ties between Nigerian and Chinese law enforcement agencies.

The Inspector-General is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on September 18th on the theme “Combating Transnational Crime and Countermeasures.” His presentation will highlight Nigeria’s policing reforms, counter-crime strategies, and collaborative measures with international partners.
According to Force Headquarters, Egbetokun’s participation at the forum reflects Nigeria’s commitment to global security cooperation and its determination to remain an active player in shaping the future of international law enforcement.
