The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC) has cleared Osun State of allegations that it diverted and misused the bailout funds released to it by the Federal Government in 2015.
The ICPC said in a letter that the bailout was actually used in the payment of salaries and pension of both the state and local government workers and the cadets of the Osun State Youth Empowerment Scheme.

A pressure group in the state, Coalition of Civil Societies for the Emancipation of the People of Osun State, had petitioned the ICPC, accusing Governor Rauf Aregbesola of diverting the bailout funds released to the state in 2015.
Osun State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Remi Omowaiye was on one of TVC News’ bulletins and he said the Osun state government is doing a lot in the area of revenue generation without burdening the people.
