The Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) has declared support for the administration of Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, pledging to work with him in advancing the state’s development agenda.
The CSOs, led by their Chairman, Ibrahim Ngaski, paid a solidarity visit to the Governor at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, where they condemned negative campaigns targeted at the administration.
Ngaski stressed that Kebbi’s image must not be dragged into disrepute, noting that the coalition was committed to engaging constructively with government for the progress of the state.
Responding, Governor Idris spoke with emotion, saying he was deeply concerned that falsehoods and smear campaigns from the opposition could discourage investors and mislead the people. “The opposition is not being fair to the people of Kebbi. Their unwarranted and sponsored negative reports can discourage investors. But I will not be distracted,” he said.
