Serena Williams was denied a record-equalling 24 Grand Slam singles titles by Simona Halep as the Romanian thrashed the off-key American 6-2 6-2 in a one-sided Wimbledon final on Saturday .
Williams says that she hasn’t been obsessed with chasing records in her sight since she won her 18th slam, preferring to just take her game one match at a time on her way to Margaret Court’s record.
The American has now lost three Grand Slam finals since returning to the Tour last March following the birth of daughter Olympia in September 2017.
