Socio political organization in Rivers State, Grassroots Development Initiative, GDI has rejected calls for the resignation of Governor Nyesom Wike over the level of insecurity in the state. The GDI Secretary General, Samuel Wanosike made the group’s position known while assessing the performance of the state government in the area of securing lives and property.
He debunked claims that the crime rate in the state was due to incompetence on the part of Governor Wike’s administration.
Wanosike added that the state government has spent billions of naira in providing logistical support for security agencies.
