The Kaduna State Security Council has lifted the curfew previously enforced from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. in Kaduna and Zaria, effective immediately from Tuesday, 13th August 2024.
Internal Security Commissioner Samuel Aruwan made the announcement, confirming that residents can now move about without any restrictions.
He further explained that following a comprehensive evaluation, the council unanimously recommended ending the curfew, emphasizing its ongoing dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Kaduna’s population.

However, the council is urging that all processions or gatherings be coordinated with the relevant agencies to prevent disturbances.
The Authorities say Security forces will remain vigilant, prepared to address any threats to public peace.
