Governors of Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra States have arrived the Government House in Owerri, the capital of Imo State for a South East Security Council meeting.
The recent attack on the Imo Correctional Centre and Headquarters of the State Police Command and matters relating to security in the region are expected to dominate the discourse.
The Monday early hours attack of the Correctional Centre which saw the release of over 1800 inmates by the unknown gunmen has been a source of worry to many especially those living in the region hence the need for the regional security council meeting.
The South East Governors are currently in a closed door meeting with top security Agents and the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo at the Government House in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
The meeting maybe unconnected with the rising insecurity situation in the region.
