Governor Radda Seeks More Support To Tackle Insecurity

Katsina state Governor Dikko Umar Radda has once again called on the technocrats in the state to deploy their expertise in assisting the state overcome the challenges of insecurity and economic meltdown.

The governor is concerned about the plight of his people being attacked daily and the unpredictable nature of banditry in the state.

The Governors speaking at the swearing in of 6 new permanent secretaries into the state civil service.

The state in the last eight months has vigorously pursued strategic reform in the civil service to promote professionalism accountability to assist the government in delivering it’s mandate.

Insecurity is causing a serious diversion from allowing states to concentrate on real issue of development, a narrative Governor Dikko Radda is determined to change soon.

In search of greater ideas to overcome the challenges, the state is finalizimg moves to co host North West security summit with the UNDP.

The idea is to Assess the current security situation in the Northwest region and develop to enhancing collaboration and coordination of criminal activities in the region.

Already the representative of the UNDP and the state have been meeting to complete arrangements for the summit.

The rate of attacks by bandits has been on the increase despite the huge spendings of the government on security matters.

Recently a community leader was killed and two of his family members taken captive in Mairuwa village of Faskari local government.
