Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has partnered with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to launch a campaign against road traffic crashes, flagging off “Operation Sanity” in the state.

This initiative aims to curb reckless driving and promote a culture of safety on Nasarawa’s roads.

At the launch in Lafia, the Governor emphasised that the era of reckless driving is over, and the state government is committed to protecting citizens’ lives and ensuring road safety.

Governor Sule called on residents to join hands with FRSC in this effort, stressing that road safety is a collective responsibility.

FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed explained that “Operation Sanity” is a multi-faceted approach to traffic enforcement, engaging stakeholders from various sectors to achieve road safety.

The initiative will focus on public awareness campaigns, enforcement of traffic regulations, mobile court sessions, and promoting a safety culture.

The operation aims to reduce road traffic crashes, save lives, and promote economic development, with Nasarawa State poised to become a model for road safety in Nigeria.
