Various labour leaders in their speeches commended the State Government on the implementation of the seventy (70,000) thousand naira minimum wage, while calling for more pension and gratuity funds to capture retired teachers and Local Government employees.
The Governor said without the hard work and dedication of workers, the state wouldn’t be where it is today.
According to him, it is the responsibility of the government to create an enabling environment for job satisfaction, fair compensation, and opportunities for career advancement.
Among other things, he said the government will put in place modalities for the purchase of vehicles for the state transport corporation to service the people, and students of the state, light up the state and also work on human capital development among others.
