Governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Fintiri has directed all political appointees aspiring for elective positions to set aside their ambitions in 2025 and focus on building the state

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting in Yola, Mr Fintiri says anyone unable to abide by this directive should step down from their position.

A PDP end of year stakeholders meeting is to assess the party’s performance for the year 2024.

The Peoples Democratic Party state chairman Tahir Shehu says Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has fulfilled all the political promises made to the electorates

Mr.  Shehu also announced the lifting of suspension on all affected party members and warned executives of the party to be cautious in handling the affairs of the party.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri highlights his administration’s achievements, including the creation of 83 district heads and 7 chiefdoms and emirates.

He stressed his commitment to investing in security, making the state attractive to investors, and providing jobs for the youth.

Meanwhile, the Pene Da Bwatiye Development Association Worldwide, a prominent sociocultural group in Adamawa State has condemned the statement made by a cleric, Sheikh Salihu Imam, accusing him of spreading divisive and inflammatory rhetoric.

A viral video featuring Sheikh Salihu Imam has criticised Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for creation of more emirate and chiefdom

The controversial comments reportedly criticised the newly enacted District Creation Law of 2024, which Sheikh Salihu claimed undermined the authority of the Lamido of Adamawa.
