The Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Oye-Ekiti, Professor Abayomi Fasina has commended President Bola Tinubu for excusing the Academic Staff Union of University from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPIS.
The Vice Chancellor also said the reversal of the earlier proposed 40% remittance of Universities Internally generated Revenue is a clear demonstration of President’s listening ear, innate understanding, and kind disposition to the yearnings of stakeholders in the education sector.
Addressing Journalists in Ede in Osun State, Professor Abayomi Fasina appealed to the federal Government to accelerate the process of making Universities more autonomous.
According to him, the Governing Council should be allowed to take of the University administration with occasional checks and balances from the visitors.
