The Federal Government is currently in a meeting with representatives of organised labour in Abuja.
Government hopes to further convince labour unions on the necessity of the recent hikes in the prices of petrol and electricity tariff.

The meeting is also to avert labour’s planned nationwide protest from Monday.
Government is expected to unveil its palliative measures to cushion the effects of the recent prices increases on the people.
