Image result for Four persons killed in Bassa LGAThe Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the killing of four persons in Bassa Local Government Area by gunmen.

Police spokesperson, Terna Tyopev, said the bodies have been taken to the State Specialist Hospital, Jos, for a post-mortem examination. He said efforts are underway to locate and arrest the gunmen.

Plateau police Command on Wednesday confirmed that three persons were killed in Bassa local government  area of the state.

“At about 1100hr on  Wednesday, Police Division at Bassa LGA received an information that at about  1000hrs of the same date the following persons namely: Adam Sunday aged 38yrs, Jatau Auks aged 39yrs, Chohu Awarhai and Marcus Mali aged 22 years  all male of Jebu  Miango village while fetching construction sand with a Tipper truck at Andwan Rogo- DTV area, Jebu -Miango, Bassa LGA were attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be Herdsmen.

“On the receipt of the information, the DPO mobilised his men to the scene of crime. Photographs of the deceased were taken and bodies taken to Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos for Post-mortem examination.

“Efforts are on the way to arresting the perpetrators of this dastardly act to face the full consequences of their action. The outcome of the investigation will be made public very soon. Law abiding citizens are advised to go about their lawful businesses the statement further added,” the Polioce said in a statement.
