World Football Governing body, FIFA has said four Countries have submitted bids to host the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
FIFA said on it’s website that it recieved a joint bid from Australia and New Zealand, with other bids coming from Brazil, Colombia and Japan.
An assessment process, including inspection visits to proposed facilities are expected to take place from next year.
The evaluation reports for eligible bids will be presented to the FIFA Council, which will select the host nation for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup at its meeting in Addis Ababa next June.
The 2023 World Cup will feature 32 teams for the first time according to a unanimous decision by FIFA Council following this year’s World Cup in France.
