The Nigeria Immigration service in Lagos has received one hundred and forty-three (143) foreign nationals, who have just concluded their jail terms at the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS).
The ex-offenders, who were jailed for Cyber terrorism and other cyber crimes, were received at the service zonal command in Lagos.
They include 97 Chinese, 40 Philippinos, 2 Indonesians, 2 Kyrgyz (from Kyrgyztan), 1 Pakistani and 1 Malaysian. they are 91 males and 52 females between the ages of 18 to 45.
According to the Assistant Comptroller General in charge of the zone A command, Mr. Echefulam Anugwa, the Comptroller General of the Immigration service, Kemi Nandap has ordered that the ex-offenders be repatriated to their various countries, after proper profiling.
He reiterated the service’s commitment to zero tolerance for crimes, criminality and all forms of irregular migration.
Also present at the handing over was the Comptroller of the Lagos command, Mr. Mohammed Akadri, and other senior officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
