The Federal government has appealed to the Academic staff Union of Universities to call off its strike and come to the negotiating table.
Government said negotiating under such pressure may end in an unrealistic outcome.
It assured the union that the Finance ministry is working to ensure the release of the N20bn as approved by the Federal government, for the public Universities revitalization scheme in the coming weeks.
