The Federal Government has announced a 24 Hour closure of the Third Mainland Bridge from Wednesday afternoon till Thursday afternoon.
This according to the Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukorede Keisha, will allow the contractor to execute a major aspect of the ongoing repair works on the bridge.
The closure according to her will affect both bounds of the strategic bridge.
She added that road users will be provided with alternative routes for the 24 hours the closure will last.

From Wednesday 12noon, the federal ministry of works will completely close the Third Mainland Bridge for 24 hours to allow the contractor execute a major aspect of the ongoing repair works on the bridge.
This was announced in a statement by the federal controller of works, Olukorede Keisha on Monday.
The closure will affect both bounds of the carriageways from 12 noon on Wednesday, February 28 to 12 noon on Thursday, 29, 2024.
The Federal government is advising all road users to use alternative routes already provided during this period as the bridge would not be opened to traffic for 24-hours.
