The Federal Executive Council has approved N2.1 billion for the rehabilitation and upgrade of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi to improve healthcare services in the region.

Minister of Health, Ali Pate, announced the approval on Wednesday after the FEC meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu.

According to Professor Pate, the funds will be used to procure a mobile X-ray machine and rehabilitate and equip a 64-slice CT scan at the teaching hospital.

He said the investment aims to enhance diagnostic services and clinical care, ensuring that Nigerians receive high-quality medical treatment at the facility.

Several Memos were also approved for the ministry of works to rehabilitate some critical federal roads in the country, and also construction of new roads.
